Wuvable Oaf: Goteblüd WANC Fan Posters (2018) are based upon the popular wrestling magazines of the late 1980s-early 1990s. Collaborating with Wuvable Oaf creator Ed Luce and model Guillermo Rodriguez, and featuring costuming designed and made by Erik Erspamer, the series of images were shot at Isotope - The Comic Book Lounge in San Francisco. Selected images were used in digital promotion and full color printed posters that premiered at Comic-Con International 2018 in San Diego, with planned comic cover designs in the near future. WANC ‘Hell on Ice’ Special Edition Issue (2018) Making its debut at Small Press Expo 2018, the latest installment of Ed Luce’s Wuvable Oaf comic series explores the title character’s alter ego (and secretive past) as ‘the satanic pro wrestler Goteblüd.’ Featuring the comic series’s first photographic cover, the design continues the conceit of pro-wrestling fan magazines from the late 1980s-early 1990s. This special edition issue includes an exclusive pull-out full color poster of Goteblüd photographed in the style of Sears and Olan Mills studio portraits.
OAFANTHOLOGY 2: A COLLECTION OF WUVABLE OAF DRAWINGS & STORIES (2016) is the second collection of original artwork and stories contributed by artists and writers interpreting the characters of Ed Luce’s Oafiverse from his popular comic series Wuvable Oaf (published by Fantagraphics). My mandala-like contribution was featured as a full-color pull-out in the special edition printing. A grayscale version is included in the regular edition.
